Victims identified in deadly Lawrence County plane crash

STOTTS CITY, Mo. - The Lawrence County Sheriff's Department has released the names of two men, killed in a deadly plane crash Sunday night.

Richard A. Armstrong, Jr. and Royce Deryl Edwards died when their twin-engine Cessna crashed in a wooded area near Stotts City.  Sheriff Brad DeLay says it took so long to identify the two on board because the bodies were so badly burned.  The plane crashed about 50 yards from a vacant home.  Firefighters say the plane was fully-engulfed when they arrived on scene.

The Federal Aviation Association should release a preliminary report on the crash in the next few days.
