OZARK, Mo. -- Missouri's attorney general sued a defunct company that sold vacation packages in Branson. The lawsuit says customers never received their accommodations or got refunds.
The Attorney General's Office filed the lawsuit on Wednesday in Christian County Circuit Court against Mr. Nice Guy's Vacations and its operator, Andrew Callison of Chestnutridge. The suit says Callison accepted payments of $99 to $839 from at least 35 customers between late 2009 and early 2011 and promised hotel accommodations and entertainment passes in Branson.
The lawsuit says customers were told they had up to a year to redeem their vacation packages but got no answer at the telephone number that they were given. The Attorney General's Office seeks restitution and a court order barring Callison from doing business in Missouri.
Callison did not return a reporter's calls on Wednesday to give his side of the story.
