SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- A man from Springfield learned his fate following guilty pleas for a series of felony assaults. According to the Greene County prosecuting attorney, Richard Peck was sentenced on Friday to six years in prison.
Peck pleaded guilty for firing a gun at a home where he believed his estranged wife was inside. The prosecuting attorney says Peck also pleaded guilty to two different assault charges involving two other women.
The judge also ordered Peck to attend a long-term drug treatment program. If he doesn't successfully complete the program, the judge could order him to serve a 15-year sentence for unlawfully firing a gun from a vehicle, a charge that stems from the assault on his estranged wife.
All three crimes were in 2011.
