SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- A man from Clever is the Missouri Lottery's latest multi-millionaire.
Carl Pierce scratched off the $4 million top prize in the lottery's $4,000,000 Cash Spectacular game. He bought the ticket at the Kum & Go on U.S. 60 in Republic.
Pierce opted for a lump-sum payment of $2.6 million, instead of an annuity of $200,000 a year for the next 20 years. Pierce says he may buy a farm.
He is the 71st instant Missouri lottery millionaire.
