CLARKRIDGE, Ark. -- Baxter County authorities recovered the body of a man whose vehicle was submerged in Lake Norfork.
The sheriff's department received a tip Saturday morning that the car was 10 to 12 feet under murky water near the Calamity Beach boat launch area near Clarkridge. A diver with the sheriff's department found the body of the man inside the vehicle.
Investigators say the vehicle is registered to someone reported missing from outside of Baxter County in October 2012. The body was sent to the state's crime lab in Little Rock to try to determine the cause of death and the identity of the man who died.
