Third person is indicted for deaths of Rebecca, Rusty Porter

FORSYTH, Mo. -- A Taney County grand jury indicted a third man for the deaths of Rebecca and Rusty Porter of rural Greene County.  Officers arrested Phillip Friend, 26, in Kansas City on Wednesday.

Friend is a son of Tony Friend, already indicted for the deaths.  Tony Friend and Dusty Hicks pleaded not guilty in a Taney County courtroom on Oct. 25.  Phillip Friend was being held in the Jackson County jail on Wednesday.

Investigators believe the Porters were taken alive from their home northeast of Willard and killed execution-style (by being shot in the head).  Investigators say the bodies were buried in a remote area near Pro Tem.

The couple vanished from their home in April 2011.  The home was unlocked.  Visitors smelled a strong bleach odor.  Authorities have not commented on a possible motive in this case.
