RIGHT NOW

Winter Storm Warning in effect

Snow/Ice/Sleet all possible

*Winter Storm Warning* in effect from now until Thursday evening. Conditions will continue to deteriorate later this evening.

Near 7pm: Some snow and rain mix will start in SW Arkansas and southern Missouri. As warm air continues to push up from the Gulf, that'll help keep much of the activity near Springfield as freezing rain/snow mix. This activity will continue through the overnight hours and into tomorrow morning.

Thursday: We'll continue to see periods of freezing rain/sleet/ice mix through much of the day.

Thu Evening: The Winter Storm will be ending taking the activity towards St. Louis and Illinois. A few flurries will be possible leading into Friday morning.

See map below of accumulations:

Impacts will be on the roadways as some ice accumulation will make travel difficult. Some power outages are possible as winds whip out of the east between 25 and 35 mph.
