Winter storm heads for the Ozarks

Some locations could see 7 inches or more.

Today, we'll be just fine, if not below average in the temperature department. Highs will manage the low 40s with clouds on the increase late in the day. We're still tracking a Winter Storm that is moving in from the west. Because of this, we are under a Winter Storm Watch starting early Thursday morning through Friday.

The track and intensity of this weather system is still up in the air somewhat, but we will see some locations get upwards of 7" of snow.

Springfield could see anything between 4 to 7 inches. If the weather system being in more warmer air from the south, these values will change DRASTICALLY.

The snow should be ending leading into early Friday, but another system is right on it's heels. We will see a cold rain scenario pan out for much of Saturday, while Sunday features a possibility of a rain/snow mix.
