Man from West Plains faces up to 30-year prison term for possessing child porn

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- A man from West Plains pleaded guilty to possessing child pornography in U.S. District Court on Thursday.

The Southwest Missouri Cyber Crimes Task Force said Scott Johnson, 26, used his computer to share images of child pornography in 2011.  Investigators found more than 300 files, nearly half of which were pictures depicting child sexual abuse.

The ages of the child victims ranged from two to 12.  Johnson faces five to 30 years on prison.
