SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Springfield police confirm they are investigating a possible child abduction.
It happened near the intersection of Missouri and Nichols just south of Grant Beach Park around 10:15 a.m. Tuesday.
Witnesses told police they saw a man in a dark blue or black pickup pushing something down on the passenger side floorboard of the truck before driving away.
Police have found a child's bicycle in the middle of the road, but don't know if it's connected to the sighting of the man in the pickup.
Witnesses say the pickup had a loud muffler.
Police are still searching the area.
Springfield police have not issued an Amber Alert because they do not have any evidence that a child is missing.
