SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- A used car dealer is accused of rolling back the miles on vehicles before selling them.

Zane Turner bought two cars from the owner of Excel Auto Group, Ashley Bolton.  He realized he'd been duped months later when he took his car to a dealer who had done work on it before Turner owned it.  That's when he figured out the odometer was turned back on both the cars he bought.

Turner says several people have come forward with the similar problem.  Now the attorney general is charging Bolton with two counts of unlawful merchandising practices.

“I have a family, I have kids. I need a reliable low mileage car. He looked us in the eye knowing they had that many miles and put us in them anyway,” said Turner.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Ashley Bolton.

He could face four years for each of the two counts against him.
