School District: students with knives had plans to confront classmates at Springfield school

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- A middle school student told police about plans to confront classmates after being caught with three knives before school started on Friday.

It happened at Pleasant View Middle School.

Officials with Springfield School Dist. say it was an observant student who alerted teachers to the student carrying the knives.  School police officers responding to the incident turned the student over to the Greene Co. Juvenile Dept. for further questioning.
