Pleasant Weather Today | High 50s

Potential Winter Snow Storm Thursday

Today should be decent with highs boosting to the low and mid 50s across the Ozarks.

But...you want to know about this winter storm, right? Yes, we are expecting a storm of some kind to impact us mainly Thursday and into much of Friday. This will be a mixture of rain, freezing rain/sleet, and even wet snow are all possible. This will be from an area of low pressure forming out west.

The weather models are all over the place with this. One in particular (Global Forecast System) is going with more rain to start, then it slowly turning into snow. The other (North American Model) is going for more of a cooler trend, giving us heavy/wet snow.

What am I thinking? Well, the NAM has been pretty consistent with our winter storms this year, to I'm leaning towards the latter. Many things will change this forecast; the track of the low, how cold we get, the timing of the system, etc. Stay tuned to KSPR Weather for the latest updates on this storm.
