Pictures: Wilson's Creek Log Jam - Then And Now
In 2010, a property owner discovered a mass of logs and branches left over from the 2007 ice storm that had collected in Wilson's Creek near the intersection of Highway 160 and Farm Road 156. The log jam was not only contributing to flooding in the area, but if the mass broke free, it had the potential to damage a nearby county bridge. With the help of federal funds, the debris has now been cleared, returning the creek to its previous state.
