Pictures: Crooks wreck two cars in one night
Two car crashes, 3 arrests, and a suspect on the loose. That's what Springfield police and Greene County deputies dealt with early Tuesday morning. Police are looking for a person who stole a Chrysler New Yorker from the 2500 block of North Prospect early Tuesday morning. Springfield police officers tried to stop the car as it headed west on Battlefield Road. The driver took off, and eventually crashed the New Yorker in a field where Battlefield ends at West Bypass around 3:00 a.m. Earlier in the morning, three people were arrested after they crashed a white Oldsmobile Alero near Glenstone and Commercial. Police say that vehicle had been following the stolen car, and they may have been working together. Greene County deputies helped with the pursuit of the stolen car.
