Today, a cold front continues to push through the state slowly. This will keep the clouds around so temperatures will cap off around 47 degrees for the afternoon. Some light showers cannot be ruled out late in the day. Most of the rain will fall towards the south and east of Springfield. Overnight lows dip to the frigid low 20s. The combination of leftover rain and cold temps could lead to some isolated pocket so freezing rain, however, this will mainly occur near the West Plains area and locations east of that.

Tuesday features another afternoon with below average temps. Highs will only be in the mid 40s with plenty of sunshine. We eventually welcome back the 60s leading into late week.
