Today, a big ridge of High Pressure will stay anchored over Nebraska, which will allow winds to swoop into the Ozarks from the north. That will keep a cap on the high temps for the afternoon, as I'm expecting those to climb into the low 50s...however, it'll feel like the upper 40s.

Leading into the weekend, highs will be boosting close to 70 ahead of our next weather system. This one will bring a shot of isolated storms Saturday, but more likely heavy rain and thunderstorms for Sunday afternoon. Some could be strong. After that, expect a BIG cool down!
