Today, highs will be boosting to the mid 50s with more rain on the way in the afternoon. That area of low pressure will be providing plenty of Gulf moisture for us to see rainfall amounts on the order of 1 to 3 inches, especially to the east.

Rain will be ending overnight as the low pushes towards the upper Midwest. Friday looks like one of the better days this season. We'll see partly cloudy skies and highs in the mid 60s! Wow! It is still January, right? This warm trend is short lived, as a cold front from the Central Plains swoops in Saturday. This will being showers, then the possibility of a wintry mix overnight Saturday and through early Sunday. Highs Sunday fall to the low 30s! Brrr!!
