Heavy snow for some in the Ozarks

Rain will start Monday and then switch to snow.

It was a great end to the weekend!  Highs were in the 50's for most of us.  That will end tomorrow.  Tonight clouds will increase and winds will stay up.  Lows will be in the upper 20's and lower 30's.  There is a winter storm watch for our northern counties starting 6pm on Monday until noon on Tuesday.

Showers and even a few thunderstorms will develop on Monday in the afternoon.  Highs will be in the mid to upper 40's.  By evening time the rain will start to mix with snow to our northwest.  After midnight it will be snow here in Springfield.  A band of heavy snow will set up just to the south of KC.

The snow will start to end on Tuesday afternoon.  The snow gradient will be very tight.  That means there is a high bust potential with this forecast.  If the low is just 30-40 miles to the south, we will see a lot of more snow.  Here is how it looks like the snowfall totals will set up.

More snow flurries are possible on Wednesday.  A dusting to maybe an inch could be possible.

March starts Friday but it won't feel like it at all.  This week is looking very cold right now.
