SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- The fire marshal is investigating a Saturday morning fire that killed a woman and two children on Springfield's north side.

Firefighters contained the blaze at the home at 1450 North Texas shortly after 9:00 a.m.  Firefighters found the bodies through thermal-imaging cameras.  Firefighters said at the scene the three likely died of smoke inhalation.  Investigators have yet to identify the three, waiting for autopsies to finish. 

The fire damaged the side of the home.  The cause of the fire is under investigation.
