SPRINGFIELD, MO - In his 4 years at Hillcrest Dorial Green-Beckham has accomplished about anything a high school athlete could imagine. Thursday night, DGB will try for one more pinnacle mark of his amazing career; needing just 61 yards to set the national career receiving yards record.
Green-Beckham enters the regular season finale with 5,806 career yards on 268 catches and 68 touchdowns. 61 yards would tie the current national record held by Abram Booty, who gained 5,867 yards during his 4-year career at Evangel Christian High School in Shreveport, Louisiana from 1993-96.
The 6-6, 220 pound receiver considered the nations top offensive recruit is also primed to set his own state record for a 2nd straight year. He has 1,683 yards with at least 2 games to play.The Hornets (8-1) host Republic (4-5) in an unbeaten battle for the district championship Thursday night.
