Today, highs will only boost to the mid 30s in Springfield, while areas to the Northeast will only manage the upper 20s. A flurry or two is possible throughout the morning as a wave of energy passed overhead. Wednesday features chances for isolated showers ahead of a weathermaker. Speaking of, this one is slated for the Thursday-Friday time frame. We'll see rain to start off Thursday, then as temps get below 32, some freezing is possible leading into Friday.

More rain is expected Sunday through Tuesday.
