Trooper's Death Investigated

(AP) -- Authorities suspect suicide but continue to investigate the death of Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper Anthony O'Brien.

O'Brien died Thursday at his home in Lewis County in northeast Missouri. Authorities believe the cause of death was a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The patrol, along with the sheriff's department and coroner in Lewis County, are investigating.

O'Brien had been a state trooper for eight years.
