Media Shut Out Of Palin Visit

By KSPR News

It'll be a packed house when former Alaska governor and vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin speaks Dec. 2 at College of the Ozarks in Point Lookout.

But unless they managed to get a ticket, reporters will not be allowed inside the gymnasium where Palin will speak.

College public relations director Elizabeth Andrews told reporters the
media exclusion was part of Palin's contract for speaking at the private school.

Andrews says members of the media can attend the event with the former Alaska governor and Republican vice presidential candidate only if they got some the free tickets previously distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis.

She told a newspaper the decision was "mutual" between the school and Palin's management.

KSPR has tickets to the Dec. 2 speech.
