Last year, Jaguar’s auto show starlet was its C-X75 Concept, an EV that, with 780 horsepower and 1,180 pound-feet of torque, was just as much show as it was go. This year, Jag is playing things a little more real in introducing the C-X16 coupe.

This show-stopper is smaller than Jaguar’s XK and if it does see the inside of a showroom (color me shocked if Jaguar doesn’t make this car) the C-X16 will have its sights set squarely on Porsche’s two-door offerings.

The concept you see here is powered by a 3.0-liter, supercharged V-6 engine that makes 375 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque. The car is effectively a hybrid in that an electric motor is paired with the gas engine and makes an additional 93 horsepower and 173 pound feet of torque (for a total of 468 and 505, respectively). This additional boost is available via a steering wheel-mounted button which Jaguar has dubbed "Push to Pass."
