"It’s amazing how the presidential election has created something new in what we know as Black History Month. If this isn't a milestone for black history, I don’t know what is. As a good friend of mine said to me on the day of the election: What's so moving about this election is that it makes us all see that anything is possible. I think we're so used to being disappointed that we don't realize the possibilities really are endless. To feel included in that again is so inspiring and motivational. I only pray that this is the beginning of a change in the way people live and the way they view being a part of this country."
