"Good night... don't let the bed bugs bite" is more than just a nighttime phrase these days.
A Mississippi State University professor says many different studies show up to a 500% increase in the nocturnal pests.
International travel, immigration, and changes in pest control are the biggest contributors to the boom in bed bugs.
The researchers also studied how harmful they are.
They found it's not very likely the bloodsuckers spread diseases, and bug bites can result in anything from rashes to bumps to nothing at all.
