•••• "Tomb Raider," a reboot of the classic series, has been delayed until Q1 of 2013. Darrell Gallagher, head of Crystal Dynamics (who is developing the game), announced the news via a post on the Eidos forums. [Gamespot]
•••• Investors are trying to recoup their losses on a failed "Stargate" MMORPG that was due to launch in 2010. Things have gone to court, with the game's developer alleged to have mislead investors to the tune of $50 million. I'd love to hear the resigned sighs of the judge hearing this case as phrases like "Goa'uld" and "Jaffa staff" are uttered in court. [The Arizona Republic]
•••• According to sources speaking to The Verge, Microsoft is prototyping a version of its Internet Explorer web browser that works with Kinect and is run from the Xbox 360 dashboard. If you're wondering what Internet Explorer is, it's that thing you uninstalled when you got your new computer before loading up Chrome and Firefox. [The Verge]
•••• Quite an interesting discussion is going on over at female-centric blog Jezebel in regard to a post about "girl-centric video games." The article references the launch of a "feminine computer museum" called FEMICOM. I haven't checked, but I’m sure everyone is having a completely civil discussion about this in the comments after the post was also linked on Kotaku. [Jezebel]
Out This Week
After somewhat of an early spring lull, we have a huge slate of big games in front of us this week. Tomorrow you'll be able to play "Diablo III" on your PC or Mac, clicking through the long-awaiting dungeon crawling institution. If that doesn't occupy all your time, another "big 3" comes out tomorrow in "Max Payne 3" on PS3 and Xbox 360. If you were geeked out about last night's "Game of Thrones" episode, you'll want to check out the RPG available on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. If you have any energy, time or money left whatsoever, there's also the blockbuster movie tie-in to "Battleship" available on Xbox 360, PS3, Nintendo DS and Wii. Phew!
Free Mobile Challenge
Perhaps your hockey season ended in tears on Saturday night like mine did. Maybe your team is still in it. Maybe you thought the NHL season ended months ago. Whatever your position on ice hockey, you will love "Ice Rage." Created by Mountain Sheep, "Ice Rage" breaks hockey down to a simple arcade-style 2-on-2 contest with all the slippery goodness of classics like 1998's "Ice Hockey." With no in-app pay barriers preventing enjoyment, "Ice Rage" is a free must-download title.
Really Important Video
If "Mister Rogers" had a baby with "Tim and Eric" that was obsessed video games, it would be "Weekend Game Guy." I'm not exactly sure what percentage of the comedy in this video is intentional, but it's high enough that I watched the entire episode. Let's help out "Weekend Game Guy" and throw him some views, shall we? This is a series that deserves to continue on.

Plus 'Tomb Raider's' inevitable delay and the 'Stargate' MMO that never was
"Max Payne 3" is out this week, but will face stiff competition for gamers' attention with "Diablo III" coming out the same day. (Rockstar)
