You may have heard of the old theory that babies come into this world more or less blank slates. Their parents and the world write on those slates, and only then do the kids develop their personalities. Well, that theory was wrong.

Danny Huerta – counselor, Focus on the Family says, “A lot of research has taken place since then, and so that blank slate idea now is kind of a laughing theory. Children are very, actually in the womb they’re already different.”

Matt Lindell – father of 3 says, “Especially when he was real little, such a social little guy, if you weren’t kind of just near him and somehow kind of interacting with him, the world was over for him.”

Matt and Melissa have three very different children. Hunter is an extrovert who doesn’t really want to sit still… while his little sister bailey is happy being quiet on her own, even as a baby.

Matt says, “You could put her down and she would just be fine entertaining herself.”

While every parent can tell you how different children are from birth, we now know they’re even different before birth!

Danny says, “They can cry they can smile in the womb… it’s just amazing the personality that’s already taking place.”

Matt says, “Even in the doctor’s office they would comment on that, that this little guy just continually was just running and so active - that’s him to a T. “

Melissa Lindell – mother of 3 says, “There’s still the molding and the shaping and the teaching and stuff that happens as they grow older, but there’s no doubt in my mind that he’s not going to be an introverted person later in his life.”

Each child is truly unique. And it’s fun to look back and see how those attributes were there from the very start.

Danny says, “You see one that’s maybe a CEO, and you see from the beginning that they were very driven, just when they came out and they started crying and screaming that they need some attention when they came out of the womb.”
