Gail began his involvement in the motel business early in life. At age eight he rented his first room at the front desk. The commercial rate at that time was $6.00.
Gail is currently a board member of the Missouri Hotel and Lodging Association. He is past Chairman of the Executive Marketing Advisory Committee and Vice-Chairman of the E-Commerce Committee for Best Western World Wide. Gail is Past President of the Missouri Travel Council, Regional Governor for Best Western International, founding past President of the Branson / Lakes Area Lodging Association, and past President of the Branson / Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce. He has served on the group tour, publication, season extension, festival of lights, research, structural reorganization, business coalition, tourism development and economic development committees of the Chamber of Commerce. His organization is a member of the Branson Area Receptive Association, American Bus Association, National Tour Association, American Society of Travel Agents, International Motorcoach Group and the Student Youth Tour Association. Gail has served two terms on the Branson School Board. He is currently treasurer of the Silver Dollar City Foundation and is mentoring community Catalyst groups.

Prior to moving to Branson in 1984, Gail was a senior production engineer for Union Carbide. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree with honors in Chemical and Petroleum Refining Engineering and a minor equivalent in Economics from the Colorado School of Mines. Gail and his family attend
Gail’s leisure interests include collecting sports memorabilia, attending sporting events, travel and family activities.
