This weekend, 60 barbeque teams from a six state area are rolling into town with the best barbecue cookers and smokers you’ve ever seen. They’ll be cooking up barbeque samples for you to consume while you listen to great live music including GO Magazine’s GO Music Awards Battle of the Bands from 12:30 – 6 with a line-up of 5 local bands competing for the Best Band title. That evening Lost Highway and The Disappointments will perform on the main stage.

Saturday night you don’t want to miss Rock’n Ribs. You can enjoy four courses of award-winning barbecue from the 2007 Rock'n Ribs Barbecue Festival champions. This dinner is a time to sit back and relax.

Rock’n Ribs is held in the Cherokee Street Parking lot at Bass Pro Shops. Tickets are $7 at the door. All proceeds benefit 7 local children’s charities.

And if that’s not enough - the Springfield Cardinals are in town this weekend. Check them out against the Tulsa Drillers Friday through Sunday before they head off on the road for nine days.
