The Skinny Improv Announces A Springfield Playhouse production of A Collection of Tall Tales by Johnny Mello
The Springfield Playhouse is excited to annouce the 6th Show in its 3rd season of interactive theatre for children.
American folk hero Paul Bunyan has been kidnapped by The Headless Horseman. Paul's friends Pecos Bill and John Henry have to do their best to save Paul before it is too late. This hysterical, orginal look at some of Americas greatest rual stories will not only entertain, but teach us important lessons about team work and respect for others.
The Springfield Playhouse encourages children to participate in the play. They sometimes appear on stage with the actors or the actors will appear in the audience with the children. Children are also encouraged to show up 30 minutes before the show and help decorate the set in thanks to the Springfield Regional Arts Council.
This comical adaptation by Johnny Mello will be presented April 26 - May 4 2008 at 12:00 and 2:30 pm, April 26, 27and May 3 at 12:00 and May 4 at 2:30, tickets are only $5.

Also coming up this month, Learn to Improv. Starting Monday, April 21st, The Skinny Improv’s Training Center offers improv classes right in the heart of Springfield!
The Skinny Improv believes the comic spirit thrives under the loose “anything goes” atmosphere of improv. Our mission is to create a sense of freedom that allows the actors’ spontaneity, creative impulses and risk-taking to flourish.
Cost is $160 for 8 weeks of class and at the end of the 8 weeks students will do a show for thier family and friends prior to a Skinny Improv Mainstage Show. A $25 deposit is required to hold your place in the class.
