In "Picasso at the Lapin Agile," presented by Ozarks Technical Community College Fine Arts Department, playwright Steve Martin delivers an imaginary meeting between Pablo Picasso and Albert Einstein in 1904 at a little bar in Paris. This funny “what if” comedy plays this Friday & Saturday at 8 and Sunday at 2 at The Gillioz Theatre. Visit otc.edu for more information.
Do something good for your heart this Saturday by participating in The Heart Walk, a fundraiser for the American Heart Association. The walk begins at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Cox South Field.
Also this weekend, the Springfield Ballet presents two days of great ballet, featuring the second act of Swan Lake, as well as performances of A Special Place, Masquerade and Anti-Congruence. If you haven't experienced local ballet yet, this would be the perfect show to start. Performance are Saturday at 7 and Sunday at 2 at Springfield Little Theatre website.
The Rainbow Network is hosting a Celebration of Miracles Benefit Auction Concert at Remington’s this Saturday. The New Creole Jazz Band performs while rural Nicaraguans whose lives have been changed by the Rainbow Network will be there to share their stories. The event begins at 5 with a silent and live auction before the concert. Admission for the concert is $10, dinner is provided by Qdoba for an additional $5.
