After Oceanic Flight 815 crashes, the survivors attempt to rebuild their lives and escape -- the typical Gilligan's Island response we'd expect. But instead of coconut phones, they're dealing with kidnappings, smoke monsters, errant polar bears and other spooky incidents that lead them to believe this is no ordinary island. Meanwhile, two influences emerge among the survivors: man of science Jack Shephard and man of faith John Locke.<br>
