Wright County sheriff closes jail due to A/C failure

WRIGHT COUNTY, Mo. (KY3) Wright County Sheriff Glenn Adler confirmed to KY3 News on Wednesday that the county jail in Hartville is closed because the air conditioning system went out.

According to Sheriff Adler, inmates have been transported to jails in Texas, Howell, Ozark, Douglas and Webster counties. The sheriff confirmed that the Wright County courthouse, which uses the same air conditioning system, remains open.

There was no immediate word on when the air conditioning system, which is around 50 years old, would be repaired or replaced.
