US Forest Service conducting large controlled burning in two locations in the Ozarks

AVA, Mo. According to the US Forest Service, they are conducting controlled burns in Pulaski and Barry County.

The one in Pulaski County is 1,600 acres several miles south of I-44. The controlled burn in Barry County is about 1,900 acres of undergrowth which is about 7 miles southeast of Cassville that has smoke drifting over Table Rock Lake.

The smoke from the fires should clear out in a few hours.
