U.S. 60 exits change on west side of Rogersville on Tuesday

ROGERSVILLE, Mo. - A new interchange on U.S. 60 at Greene County Farm Road 247 opens on Tuesday. At the same time, the Business 60 (Center Street) intersection with U.S. 60 closes. Drivers will use the new interchange to reach Business 60.

This isn't the only change along U.S. 60 on the west side or Rogersville. The intersection of Farm Road 243 at U.S. 60 also will close.

It's all part of a much larger multi-year project to make U.S. 60 a freeway with limited access between Springfield and Rogersville.

Also on Tuesday, Farm Road 243's railroad crossing north of U.S. 60 will close. Contractor crews will build a new bridge that will carry future Highway B traffic over the railroad tracks. Drivers will be able to reach driveways and entrances on Farm Road 253 on either side of the railroad tracks, but will not be able to cross the tracks.

Eventually, Highway B will be moved from the center of Rogersville to the new bridge on Farm Road 243 to cut down on traffic delays caused by BNSF trains.
