LAKE OZARK, Mo. -- The Lake Ozark Police Department is investigating a shooting at an RV Park that happened sometime Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.

Police were on scene all day Wednesday at the Riverview RV Park in Lake Ozark. The RV park is located at 398 Wood River Road. That is just off of Highway 54.

KCRG-TV in Jefferson City reports a man has been arrested in the case in Phelps County. But the sheriff tells the television station the sheriff did not tie the arrest to these deaths. Witnesses say the two people died in the shooting.

Details surrounding the investigation are still slim. There were also multiple out-of-county agencies working the scene, including the Lebanon Police Department and the Versailles Police Department.

Deputies had the park barricaded, and were keeping anyone from going down a hill to the RV park, including the area postal workers until about 6:30 p.m.

People who are staying in RVs at the park tell KY3 they believe a man and his wife were shot and killed, and there my have been a third person shot. These claims were not confirmed by law enforcement officials.

Lake Ozark police says there is no threat to the general public based on the information they've gathered, but again, details surrounding the shooting, the possible victims, and any potential suspects have not yet been released by police.

Stay tuned for more updates from the scene.
