Man seriously injured after stabbing in north Springfield; suspect on the run

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) Police are searching for the person who they say stabbed a man in north Springfield. The victim was rushed to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

According to police, the incident took place at the Rancho Court in the 1700 block of E. Kearney just after 10:00 p.m. Saturday. Police told our crew on scene that the victim ran to the Kum & Go at Kearney and Delaware to seek help.

Investigators believe the victim knew his attacker and that this is an isolated incident. If you have any information, you're asked to call 911.
