Leigh's Lost oand Found: featuring a lost Beagle/Hound mix

In today's Leigh's Lost and Found report, we're featuring what you might call a "Heagle" or a "Bound."

"She's about the size of a Beagle but she looks like a Hound, so we think she's a mix of the two."

A vet tech at a clinic on Chestnut Expressway found the female dog running down the road. Shelter coordinator Josh Doss says the dog is young, only about one or two.

She did have a lime green collar on but no tags or microchip. She's also not fixed and showing signs of being in heat, which may be the reason why she was out running loose.

Josh also says that's the reason why she's in a kennel with just other females, who she gets along with very well.

"She's a very social dog. She's in with two other dogs in her kennel and she's very friendly with them. They were all curled up sleeping together before I brought her out here."

If you recognize our featured dog, or if you've lost a pet, you can call animal control at 417-833-3592. You can also visit their website to see pictures of all the animals currently there.
