Leigh's Lost and Found: featuring two Boxers found loose

In today's Leigh's Lost and Found report, we're featuring a lost Boxer, found running with another Boxer, possibly his sister.

"He was found with a female that looks almost exactly like him. They were found by the police in the southeast part of town and they took them to the emergency vet and from there, we picked them up."

The male dog and his female running partner are in good condition but they're getting on in years.

Animal control shelter coordinator Josh Doss believes they're both around eight or nine but they've been well taken care of, so he thinks someone is missing them, even though they had collars, tags or microchips.

He says both of them are sweet, social dogs.

"She's just got a little bit more energy to her. She likes other dogs a little more too. He likes other dogs but he just wants to curl up on the bed and sleep."

If you recognize our featured dog, or if you've lost a pet, you can call animal control at 417-833-3592. You can also visit their website to see pictures of all the animals currently there and to fill out an online lost pet form.
