Leigh's Lost and Found: featuring a possibly dumped German Shepherd

In today's Leigh's Lost and Found report, we're featuring a beautiful German Shepherd that may have been left behind on purpose.

"The report was that the owners might have moved and left him behind."

The male German Shepherd is mostly black with a touch of white on his toes. Neighbors found him in the 2100 block of north Albertha.

He has a faded red collar on and is very sweet, social and good with both people and other animals.

Shelter coordinator josh doss says the dog is about three to four years old. He's very skinny and Josh says they've been trying to fatten him up.

"While he's been out here he's had access to food. He just hasn't put much weight on so it might just be his personality."

Since this dog was likely dumped, he will eventually go to a rescue to be adopted out. If you're interested or if you've lost a pet, you can call animal control at 417 833-3592.
