Leigh's Lost and Found: featuring a lost Shepherd mix puppy with a brindle coat

In today's Leigh's Lost and Found report, we're featuring a young puppy found in traffic in the 1200 block of east McDaniel.

"Sometimes you can't take the puppy out of the dog."

This young fellow is only about eight to 12 months old. Animal control believes he's a Shepherd mix of some sort who got lucky he was found when he was.

"Somebody caught him running in the street. They were able to get him and bring him to the shelter."

The male puppy didn't have any collar, tags or microchip but he's been well taken care of.

And there is one thing about him that makes animal control know he has a family.

"He's been neutered so we know he has an owner somewhere."

If you recognize today's dog or you've lost your pet, call animal control at 417-833-3592. You can also visit their website to see pictures of all the animals currently there and to fill out an online lost pet form.
