Leigh's Lost and Found: featuring a lost Heeler/Shepherd puppy

In today's Leigh's Lost and Found report, we're featuring a lost puppy with a distinctive smile.

This little guy has the cutest under-bite and looks like a little mini German Shepherd.

"We're guessing he's mostly a Heeler mix. He may have some German Shepherd in him. He's definitely got the color pattern for it. We're guessing he's at least six months old. He's got his adult canines, so he's in that mid stage of puppyhood where he's just growing up."

Someone found the male puppy running loose in the 600 block of north Dexter on January third.

Besides his under-bite, he also has a distinctive collar, what looks like a camo collar that is faded and is getting a little too tight.

He's vocal and very social with people and other animals and Josh Doss with animal control is pretty sure he has an owner somewhere missing him.

If you recognize this puppy or you've lost a pet, call animal control at 417-833-3592. You can also visit their website to see pictures of all the animals currently there and to fill out an online lost pet form.

Another great resource is the Leigh's Lost and Found facebook page. Anyone can post a lost or found animal on there so be sure to like the page and share it with your friends.
