Fort Leonard Wood to welcome new leader of MP school

FORT LEONARD WOOD, Mo. The only constant in military life is change, and Fort Leonard Wood is preparing for another change in leadership.

The base will welcome a new commandant of the U.S. Army Military Police School in ceremonies Friday. Brig. Gen. Donna Martin, currently the U.S. Army Recruiting Command deputy commanding general at Fort Knox, Kentucky, will assume commandancy.

She’ll swap spots with Brig. Gen. Kevin Vereen, who will head to Fort Knox as the USAREC deputy commanding general of operations.

Martin has held numerous leadership positions and served in Operations Desert Shield/Desert Storm, Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom.
