Ex-presidents, NASCAR and country music stars top guest list for Wonders of Wildlife opening

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Johnny Morris is calling on some star power for the opening of his new Wonders of Wildlife Museum and Aquarium.

Wonders of Wildlife opens to the public Friday, September 22.

WOW is throwing a historic event welcoming the most significant gathering of prominent North American conservation leaders and influencers. That celebration is Wednesday, September 20. This party is invitation only, benefiting charity.

The guest list includes ex-Presidents Jimmy Carter and George W. Bush. It also features a list full of other dignitaries, including Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke, Missouri Governor Eric Greitens, Senator Roy Blunt and southwest Missouri Congressman Billy Long. The great-great-great grandson of Theodore Roosevelt will also make an appearance.

It doesn't end there. You have to have music too. Actor-musician Kevin Costner is expected to perform with his band. The live concert Wednesday night will also feature Luke Bryan, Dierks Bentley, Craig Morgan and John Anderson. Rocker Kid Rock will make an appearance through a live feed. All of the performers are donating their time for this celebration.

NASCAR stars will also make appearances. The guest list of racers includes Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Tony Stewart, Clint Bowyer, the Dillon brothers, and their grandfather and NASCAR car owner Richard Childress.

And a party at Bass Pro has to include fishing legends Jimmy Houston, Bill Dance and Scott and Roland Martin.

Because this party is invitation-only, the Bass Pro Shops store will close all day Wednesday.
