Greene County Sheriff's Department identifies man wanted for shooting at officers Monday

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3/KSPR) - The Greene County Sheriff's Department has identified a man wanted in connection to a Monday morning pursuit where shots were fired.

Deputies say they are searching for Enrique Castaneda.

Investigators say an officer attempted to stop a vehicle on West Bypass and Grand Avenue. The driver failed to yield. Deputies say during a short pursuit the driver opened the door and fired shots.

An officer with the Springfield Police Department then caught up with the pursuit at Chestnut and Scenic. The pursuit ended when the driver got the vehicle stuck on the train tracks under Kansas Expressway. As the officer approached the vehicle, the driver exited and fired several shots at them.
Investigators say no officer was hit.

Police did arrest one person connected to the pursuit.
