FORSYTH, Mo (KY3) - The woman who plead guilty to embezzling more than $678,000 from the Andy Williams Moon River Theater admitted to violating her probation Thursday.

Dawn Cleveringa was supposed to have paid back $500,000 in restitution by this September as part of her five-year probation.

In an agreement with prosecutors, she accepted another year of probation Thursday and agreed to continue paying the theater $500 per month going forward.

The Williams family hired Cleveringa to keep the books for the theater in the early 1990’s. Debbie Williams, Andy Williams’ widow, says she was a family friend.

“She was very much a part of the family,” she said. “My husband is that type of person as am I. It's devastating.”

It’s possible Cleveringa’s probation will be extended this time next year. Her probation requires her to keep a full time job and stay away from the Williams family and the theater.

Debbie Williams is no longer associated with the Moon River Theater.

Cleveringa declined an interview.
