Trees knocked down, power outages reported after severe storms

There are several reports of trees knocked down after severe storms moved through the Ozarks late Thursday night into Friday morning.

The Chadwick Rural Fire Protection District reports a large tree fell onto a house. The fire district reports no injuries.

As of 3:45 Friday morning, White River Valley Electric reported more than 2,200 power outages. Christian and Taney Counties each reported more than 800 outages. Other utilities are also reporting power outages.

Several trees are also down at Highways 125 and D east of Springfield.
