Meet Bobby Oler
Bobby became a multimedia journalist in August 2017 after six years covering sports in the Ozarks and in Big Sky Country. He's excited to tell different types of stories and meet even more people in our area.
Bobby became KSPR's Monday-through-Friday sports anchor in July 2015 after starting as the weekend sports anchor and reporter in January 2014. Prior to that, he spent two years in southwest Montana.
Before his time in the frozen north, the Gaithersburg, MD native covered the Washington Redskins, Wizards, Capitals, and Nationals during various internships and freelancing opportunities, including a year as the Capitals beat reporter for the Capitals Radio Network.
Bobby cast a wide net covering sports in Montana. He covered the Frontier Conference of the NAIA, high school sports, and professional rodeo, among others as the sports reporter for KXLF.
Then, in 2013 he covered Montana State and the Big Sky conference as the weekend sports anchor/reporter for KBZK.
He’s excited about living in Springfield and serving such a great community. When he's not out covering a story, you can find him at the gym or running around a park with his dog, Ovi.
